We are happy to inform you that we have a project room at FrOSCon on August 12th.

A whole day with the topic of open source two factor authentication allows us to discuss even more complicated things. We refrained from giving single talk. Because we do not only want to pass information to you, but we also want to get your feedback from you, from the community, how privacyIDEA could develop further.

Please note, that the talks are denoted in German, since the vast majority of the audience is still German speaking. But please do not hesitate to join, if you are English speaking. We are happy to switch to English whereever necessary.

There are some examples of the topics in the project room:

A user story, how privacyIDEA is used at the home network to integrate with FreeIPA, Kolab, OpenVPN and much more.

We discuss, how we can redesign the Web UI to allow for new tasks, workflows and better user experiences.

A workshop, how you can add two factor authentication to your own project using privacyIDEA.

We discuss, how privacyIDEA can become a smartcard management system.

We are looking forward to you joining the day in project room, either for only one slot or for a longer time period. Or simply stop by and say hi!

privacyIDEA at FrOSCon

The privacyIDEA project – the most flexible two factor authentication system – will have a booth at FrOSCon, the Free and Open Source Conference in Sankt Augustin, Germany on August 25th and 26th.

Visitors will be able to talk to the core developer team of privacyIDEA and see the new features of the upcoming release 2.23, including Monitoring and Statistics and Pre-Event Handler. Once again these implementations will prove, that privacyIDEA is the most flexible two factor authentication system. The administrator can define freely which kind of values or event he wants to monitor. The pre-event handling opens unforeseen possibilties to design workflows like automagically enrolling Email tokens to the user just upon authentication.

Come and gape! The privacyIDEA booth is in the Mensa next to the ownCloud booth. And as privacyIDEA also integrates well with ownCloud, there will also be a workshop on integrating enterprise ready 2FA with the open file sharing solution on Sunday.

privacyIDEA will have a stand at FrOSCon on Augsut 20th/21st. Come and see and discuss new features and ideas of privacyIDEA.

Also Cornelius will give a talk about all new features in privacyIDEA.

He is already thinking about, what nice things he can show this year. You might remember his talk last year.

privacyIDEA has been at FrOSCon on August, 22nd and 2rd 2015 in St. Augustin, Germany.
On Sunday Cornelius gave a talk (German) about control and getting back into control about your software, your keys and your data. He talked about new features in privacyIDEA, brewed a coffee for the guys attending the social event for to long and made small experiments.
