Community Release: privacyIDEA 3.14 is available

We are happy to announce the release of the community version of privacyIDEA 3.14 today.

Version 3.14 of privacyIDEA introduces the following new features:

Conditional Access: Automated protection against suspicious login attempts

With Conditional Access, privacyIDEA 3.14 introduces an additional security layer that allows administrators to monitor individual login behavior and define automated responses. Depending on the configuration, user accounts can be locked for a specified period, requests from certain IP addresses can be blocked, or notifications can be sent to affected accounts. A dedicated authentication log provides precise error details and shows how often a user has attempted to log in. Administrators define which events within a given time window trigger which actions – enabling early detection of suspicious login attempts and helping to limit potential attacks.

Remember-Me Feature: Reduced second-factor prompts on known devices

The new Remember-Me feature allows users to enter their second factor only once within a defined period on known devices, rather than at every login. This reduces repeated second-factor prompts and simplifies the daily login experience. A prerequisite is a successfully completed multi-factor authentication beforehand. Administrators can enable the feature via policy and set the desired validity period. Users decide for themselves whether to save a device. Saved devices are visible to administrators and can be revoked at any time.

New WebUI as the default interface

From version 3.14 onwards, the new WebUI is the default interface of privacyIDEA. It offers both administrators and helpdesk users a customizable dashboard with a central overview of deployed tokens as well as all components and subscriptions in use. In addition, the new WebUI displays the certificate status of connected systems, providing an at-a-glance view of whether communication with systems connected to privacyIDEA is running smoothly. Features such as Conditional Access are exclusively available in the new WebUI.
